Course Description

The course will provide and introduction to multiple economic evaluation methods used to evaluate health care services, with a focus on substance use disorders, HIV and HCV. The course will provide a more in-depth exposure to cost-effectiveness analysis; introducing students to concepts of decision analysis, measurement of cost, health utilities and quality adjusted lift years (QALYs). Students will also receive briefer introduction to cost-benefit analysis, budget impact analysis, and simulation modeling techniques.
