Jonathan Purtle serves as a co-investigator in the CHERISH Dissemination & Policy Core, where he provides conceptual and methodological guidance on dissemination science research projects and contributes to the development and presentation of study findings.
Purtle is currently an associate professor of public health policy and management at the New York University School of Global Public Health and director of policy research at NYU’s Global Center for Implementation Science. He is an internationally recognized leader in behavioral health policy dissemination research and policy-focused implementation science more broadly. He has led quantitative and qualitative studies of the uses of research evidence in policymaking, audience segmentation analyses of state legislators and behavioral health service providers, dissemination research with state legislators, and analyses of legislators’ social media posts, with this work being funded continuously by NIMH and NIDA.
