Dr. Brittany Bass is an Economist at UCLA's Integrated Substance Abuse Programs (ISAP). Her current work focuses on researching the impact of drug policies, specifically cannabis policies, and policies related to substance use, and substance use disorder treatment on health and economic outcomes. Regarding her cannabis work, she currently serves as the principal investigator on a project assessing the health of California's cannabis industry, and a co-investigator on projects related to the impact of Proposition 64 on substance use disorder treatment in California, and the feasibility and consequences of implementing a cannabis potency tax in California. Dr. Bass is also a co-investigator on multiple other studies, including the evaluation of California's Organized Delivery System waiver for substance use disorder services. Her research has been published in journals such as Drug and Alcohol Dependence, Substance Abuse Treatment, Prevention, and Policy, and the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment. Dr. Bass received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine in 2019.
