Bio
Ali Jalali serves as the co-director of the CHERISH Methodology Core, leading research on the statistical and econometric analysis of cost-effectiveness data to inform healthcare decisions and clinical policy for substance use disorders and related conditions. Dr. Jalali is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medicine and a Core Faculty Fellow at the Center for Health Policy in the Brooks School of Public Policy at Cornell University. Prior to his appointment as co-director, he was a CHERISH research affiliate from 2019 to 2025 and a CHERISH pilot grant recipient in the 2020-2021 cycle. In 2024, he received the prestigious NIH Director’s New Innovator Award (DP2) through the NIH HEAL Initiative.
