Bio
Don Lochana Ekanayake is a senior research associate in the Department of Public Health Sciences, Division of Health Services Research and Policy at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Working alongside Dr. Kathryn McCollister, she supports data interpretation, dissemination, and economic evaluations of prevention and treatment interventions for vulnerable populations, including individuals with substance use disorders, HIV, and HCV. She holds a Master of Science in global health from McMaster University and an Honours Bachelor of Science in biomedical science from the University of Guelph, both in Ontario, Canada. Her research interests include the social determinants of health, infectious diseases, behavioural healthcare, harm reduction, and environmental health.
