Elena Andreyeva is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Texas A&M University. She studies the effects of hospital market power on access to healthcare, healthcare spending, and patient health outcomes. She also studies the effects of federal and state policies on health access and outcomes for underserved populations. Her work has been published in Management Science, Journal of Political Economy Microeconomics, Health Affairs, JAMA Network Open, and Health Services Research. Andreyeva has received external funding from the National Institutes of Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Bayer Corporation, and the State of Texas.
