Bio
Jason M. Hockenberry is a health economist and health services researcher with expertise in using econometric techniques to analyze administrative, registry and electronic health record data to investigate the impacts of public health policies and to assess factors affecting the quality, efficiency, and cost of healthcare. Within these broader areas he has made particular contributions in the area of behavioral health policy and behavioral health services. A particular feature of much of Hockenberry's work that is salient to CHERISH is the use of quasi-experimental methods that exploit state level policy variation to estimate whether the theorized effects of policy have empirical support, and whether there are unintended consequences of these policies.
