Neda Laiteerapong is a board-certified general internist and Associate Director for the Center for Chronic Disease Research and Policy at the University of Chicago. She is committed to promoting lifelong health by individualizing the prevention and treatment of physical and mental chronic diseases. She is a leading researcher in the field of individualizing diabetes treatment and locally, leads efforts to integrate behavioral health care into primary care at the University of Chicago. She is also the Associate Director for the Center for Chronic Disease Research and Policy at the University of Chicago, a Center focused on promoting research and policies that bridge the gaps between medical practice, medical research and health policy, because she is interested in advancing the speed in which scientific discoveries are translated into improved health outcomes.
