Bio
Stavroula A. Chrysanthopoulou, PhD, is an assistant professor of biostatistics and director of the AM/ScM programs in biostatistics at Brown University School of Public Health. Her research interests are in the area of complex simulation modeling used for public health decision making, with an emphasis on statistical methods for developing, evaluating, and disseminating results from these models. She has several interdisciplinary collaborations involving the development of cohort-simulation, microsimulation, and agent-based models with applications to opioid use disorder, HIV, COVID-19, and cancer. Dr. Chrysanthopoulou has also extensive teaching experience with various graduate-level courses in biostatistics, including survival, longitudinal, and multivariate data analysis, generalized linear models, and simulation studies.
