CHERISH Presentation at CTN Annual Scientific Meeting
CHERISH director Dr. Bruce Schackman presented at the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN) Annual Scientific Meeting on April 12, 2016. The CTN is a NIDA-funded multi-site research project to determine the effectiveness of behavioral, pharmacological, and integrated treatment interventions across a broad range of community-based treatment settings and diversified patient populations. Dr. Schackman’s presentation highlighted the role that CHERISH investigators have played in conducting economic studies alongside CTN clinical trials and conducting economic studies that leverage data collected in CTN trials. His presentation also described the NIH priorities for health economics research, the mission and motivation of CHERISH, and the methodology, data and simulation modeling consultation services provided by CHERISH. His closing remarks identified future economic evaluation opportunities in the CTN.
