Benjamin Linas is the CHERISH Population Data & Modeling Core Director. He provides strategic guidance on the integration, advancement, and application of simulation modeling methods into economic research to evaluate the economic and population-level outcomes of SUD, HCV, and HIV interventions for people who use substances. Dr. Linas is also a professor of medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and an infectious diseases physician at Boston Medical Center, where he provides primary care to and sub-specialty management of HIV, HCV, and HIV/HCV co-infected patients. His research investigates the comparative- and cost-effectiveness of interventions to identify and treat OUD, HCV, and HIV in the real-world, where resources are limited and the best strategies for obtaining good outcomes are not certain.
